Veteran actress Kathy Bates is eyeing retirement once her hit U.S. TV drama Harry's Law ends.
The Oscar winner has enjoyed a long film career with roles in Misery, Titanic and About Schmidt, while also scooping nine Emmy Award nominations.
In a recent interview with Star magazine the 68-year-old explained that she is thinking about calling quits on her acting career.
She said: "I'm thinking about stopping when Harry's Law finishes. I would like to move on to other things in the time I have left. Writing, painting, maybe travelling and finally learning how to speak French while I've still got my wits about me.
Bates added: "I've had some wonderful opportunities. I'm really proud of what I've done."
