John Goodman has joined Trouble with the Curve.
The actor will appear alongside Clint Eastwood, Justin Timberlake and Amy Adams in the Robert Lorenz-directed drama, Variety reports.
Eastwood is set to return to acting with a role in the movie which is about an elderly baseball scout who travels to Atlanta, Georgia to screen a potential new player.
Goodman will play Pete Klein, an old friend and fellow scout.
Timberlake is set to take on the role of Johnny Flanagan, a former New York Yankees player who finds new talent alongside Eastwood's character.
Amy Adams will play Eastwood's character's daughter in the film, who is a rising attorney on the verge of being promoted to partner.
Trouble with the Curve has been slated for a September 28 release date in the US by Warner Bros.
