Jon Favreau will direct the pilot episode of JJ Abrams' TV drama Revolution for NBC, it has been reported.
The Iron Man helmer will direct the Lost creator's new action drama, according to Deadline.
This is the first time that Favreau will direct a television pilot, despite his extensive film directing experience including Elf and Cowboys & Aliens.
Revolution was picked up by NBC last month, and will be written by Abrams with Supernatural creator Eric Kripke.
The show, which has been described as an "epic adventure thriller", is about the survival of a group of characters in a world where all forms of energy have ceased to exist.
