RTÉ Radio 1's Morning Ireland continues to be the most listened to radio show in Ireland, with a listenership of 446,000, according to the latest figures released by the JLNR.

Commenting on the latest Joint National Listenership Research Survey (JNLR) Clare Duignan, Managing Director, RTÉ Radio, said: “What an interesting book ("book" is JNLR parlance for quarterly results - Ed). Radio listenership is up generally by 14,000 to 2,977,000, which is good news for all of us. There has been welcome growth to share in Dublin – a key target for us – for RTÉ Radio 1, 2fm and lyric.

"Meanwhile, RTÉ renewed its commitment to the arts in 2011 and it’s wonderful to see programmes like Arena and Arts Tonight make such gains, along with Lyric fm who have hit their 4% target.”

There was also good news for The Marian Finucane Show, which is up 30,000 to 365,000 listeners on Saturday and by 14,000 to 349,000 listeners on Sunday book-on-book.

Liveline with Joe Duffy makes a book-on-book gain of 16,000, bringing total listenership to 414,000.

Also performing well was The Ray D'Arcy Show on Today FM which attracted 234,000 listeners.
