A Desperate Housewives character will die in an upcoming episode, it has been reported.
Entertainment Weekly claims that a "major" face from Wisteria Lane will meet their end.
Though ABC will not reveal details, the cast have apparently been made aware of the scenario, and will shoot the scene in question in the coming weeks.
The Desperate Housewives death is set to be broadcast sometime in March, before the series' much-anticipated grand finale in May.
Executive producer Bob Daily revealed in August that the writing team had been discussing whether to kill off a character.
However, at the time, Daily seemed to rule out early exits for central cast members Teri Hatcher (Susan), Marcia Cross (Bree), Eva Longoria (Gabrielle) and Felicity Huffman (Lynette).
Desperate Housewives airs on Tuesdays at 10pm RTÉ2.
