US cable channel AMC has extended its order of episodes for the third series of The Walking Dead.
Variety reports that AMC will now screen a 16-episode third season, up from 13 episodes.
The third series of The Walking Dead will premiere on AMC in the last quarter of 2012.
Series two will be screened on RTÉ Television this year.
