According to reports, a televised Amy Winehouse tribute concert is being planned for the summer.

The late singer's father, Mitch Winehouse, is currently in talks to stage the event, according to The Sun, with proceeds going to the foundation set up in Amy's name following her death last summer.

Despite suggesting that talks of a deal with ITV were "premature", a source added: "All options are open at the moment, but one idea is to make fans pay a few quid to watch the concert.

"Big artists will be booked from both sides of the Atlantic so people will want to see it. It will be a huge event."

A concert to honour the singer was first mooted just three days after her death at the age of 27 on July 23.

Her posthumous album, Lioness: Hidden Treasures, has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for the Amy Winehouse Foundation since its release in December.

A donation from every copy of the album sold in Ireland is made to the LauraLynn children's hospice in Dublin.
