Carey Mulligan has praised her Shame co-star Michael Fassbender, saying that he is "utterly fearless" when it comes to nude scenes.
The Drive star has said that Fassbender is not afraid to show himself in a bad light, and is uninhibited when it comes to sex scenes.
In his latest film, Shame, which is directed by Steve McQueen, Fassbender plays a sex addict living in New York whose life is turned upside down when his sister, played by Mulligan, comes to stay with him.
She told GQ magazine: “You can talk about sex in a flippant way or in a crude American Pie way. The minute you want to talk about sex seriously it makes people very uncomfortable. [Fassbender] has no insecurity, or if he does he hides it away somewhere where you can’t see it.
“A lot of actors, especially when they are as talented and good-looking as Michael, only want to play parts that show them in a good light. If I learned anything from working with Michael, it’s that he is utterly fearless.”
