RTÉ has announced Geri Maye as the new co-presenter of Winning Streak with Marty Whelan.
The Limerick-born broadcaster previously worked on the show as presenter of the Dream Maker Wheel segment for the last two and a half years and has occasionally deputised for former presenter Kathryn Thomas.
"I am absolutely thrilled to have been chosen to work alongside Marty," Maye said.
"Winning Streak is a much loved programme and there’s nothing like the buzz that comes from working on a show with a live studio audience who are all waving their banners and shouting encouragement to the contestants. It’s a joy to see the elation on peoples' faces as they win cars, holidays and cash prizes. I’m really looking forward to working with the Winning Streak team and the National Lottery in 2012."
To date in 2011 over €9.2 million euro has been won by contestants taking part in Winning Streak. 35 cars and 68 holidays were snapped up by lucky participants.
The new series of the show starts on RTÉ on Saturday, January 7, 2012.
