In advance of the premiere of the new season on US television next year, it is reported that Cougar Town's Laurie (Busy Philipps) will have a new boyfriend in the third series.
TVLine.com, which broke the story says that actor Edwin Hodge has been cast as Wade, a soldier in the US Army.
Because he is stationed in the Middle East, he and Laurie must keep their romance going via Skype.
Cougar Town continues on RTÉ Two on Monday nights.
