Sacha Baron Cohen has been cast in the film adaptation of the classic musical Les Misérables.
The actor joins Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter and Hugh Jackman who have already signed up for the project, The Sun reports.
Cohen will play the character of one of the play's primary villains Monsieur Thénardier, who Matt Lucas previously portrayed in the West End.
Les Misérables is expected to begin filming early next year, with a release date pegged for December 2012.
Cohen is also set to star in a Freddie Mercury biopic.
