Carley Stenson is making a return to Hollyoaks - as an angel.
The 29-year-old actress is set to reprise her role in the Channel 4 soap as Steph Roach, who was killed off in a dramatic fire in November 2010, when Doug Carter (PJ Brennan) attempts to commit suicide.
Steph, who was married to personal trainer Gilly Roach (Anthony Quinlan), will appear as a "heavenly vision" and save Doug's life when he jumps from a bridge on Boxing Day.
She then tries to convince him of his positive impact in the village.
Steph shows Doug that without his influence, one teenage resident would be pregnant, while another character would be a broken man after losing his loved ones at the hands of evil Silas Blissett.
Carley - who is currently starring as Elle Woods in the West End production of Legally Blonde - will only appear in the one-off festive special, which will air on December 26 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
