Irish animation company, Boulder Media, has scooped a top award at the British Academy Children’s Awards.
The Dublin based company were awarded prizes for animation and writing for The Amazing World of Gumball.
The company, set up in 2000 by Robert Cullen who was co-producer on the series, received its international debut in May, and was the first full-length animated series to emerge from Cartoon Network Development Studio Europe.
Speaking about the award, the Emmy-nominated Cullen, said: “We’re thrilled with this recognition of the fantastic work done by our team.
“We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the creative and artistic challenge working on this international production.
“As a Dublin-based company, we’re extremely proud of The Amazing World of Gumball and to be working on a global stage, with more multi-national projects in the pipeline.”
