X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has revealed that she is frequently bombarded with death threats.

The N-Dubz star claims that she has learnt to deal with hateful abuse from members of the public, and even notes that the threats have become "more lighthearted" since she joined the ITV talent contest.

"I've always had abuse since the age of 17 so I've been trained for it," she told The Sun. "It's nothing to me. If anything it's gotten a bit more lighthearted since I've been on the show.

"It's probably some spotty 12-year-old having a laugh with his mates because he can't get a girlfriend."

Contostavlos also addressed her disagreements with fellow X Factor judge Kelly Rowland, saying: "I'm not going to lie. There were times we were closer and I'd like it to be like that. I never disliked her. When we're good, we're good."

Contostavlos revealed in September that she deliberately seeks out the most negative comments about herself.
