The X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has sparked an investigation by the UK consumer programme Watchdog Ofcom.

The investigation was launched following claims that she has breached broadcasting rules by promoting her brand of perfume on the talent show.

The star, 23, unveiled her new fragrance, The Female Boss, last month at The Perfume Shop in London as per our pic.

Ofcom has received complaints that, by making her signature arm gesture when she is introduced at the start of each show, the singer is promoting her perfume on The X Factor.
