Rihanna has claimed that she wants to scale back her provocative image, to stop her from becoming “a gimmick”.
The 23-year-old We Found Love singer, is hoping that people will begin to focus more on her music that her image.
"I kinda just wanted to scale right back instead of having a look," Rihanna said on the Ryan Seacrest radio show.
"I didn't want to make it such a big deal about what hair colour or what cut.
"I just wanted to go right back to something simple and something flexible, something a little more natural. It's more about the music. I don't want to become a gimmick ever."
Over the summer, it was reported that Rihanna spends £14,000 a week on one of Hollywood’s leading hair stylists.
Rihanna’s new album Talk That Talk is out November 21.
