Twilight star Robert Pattinson has joked that he will learn to fight in order to defend himself from unwanted press and fan attention.
The Water For Elephants actor admitted that he still misses the perks of anonymity, such as being able to "stay in a hotel" and not be found by the press.
In an interview with Marie Claire, he said: "I want to get really good at fighting. Then you can just walk down the street and fight back.
“You just wish that you could stay in a hotel and be able to hang out with everyone. I just try to find places where it's more important for them to keep your business than sell you out. Everybody wants to sell you out - even other customers."
He added: "Most actors encourage the attention because they think it will make them have a more lasting career.
"I don't think that's the case. The more you reveal, the less interesting people find you. Mystery lasts a lot longer."
In response to getting his hand and footprints immortalised on Hollywood Boulevard last week with co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, he said it was “mindblowing”.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 will be released in cinemas this Friday November 18.
