David Schwimmer is set to make friends with a notorious gangster in The Iceman.
The former sitcom star will take on a darker role by playing serial killer Josh Rosenthal in Ariel Vromen's forthcoming thriller, according to Variety.
Michael Shannon is already on board to portray serial killer Richard Kulinski, who led a double life as a mob hitman.
Ray Liotta has been cast as head gangster Roy Demoe, while Maggie Gyllenhaal is said to be playing Richard's unsuspecting wife.
Filming on the movie, which has been co-written by Ariel with Morgan Land, is set to kick off in January in Louisiana.
