Drew Barrymore and Eddie Murphy have been named as the top two most overpaid actors in Hollywood.
A report by financial magazine/website Forbes.com has ranked some of Tinseltown’s biggest hitters according to the amount of money made by a movie in relation to the sum they’ve been paid.
The magazine put Barrymore in pole position, reporting that her films only bring in 40 cents for every dollar she’s paid as an actress.
The ouch factor intensifies when you consider that’s without taking into account the recent spectacular TV failure that was Charlie’s Angels, a show where Barrymore worked as an executive producer.
Eddie Murphy took second place, though his return ($2.70 for every dollar he’s paid) was significantly higher than Barrymore’s and actually turns a profit.
Will Ferrell, Reese Witherspoon and Denzel Washington complete the flop top five.
