It seems like the current remake of the 1980s’ classic Footloose has a fan in the original Ren MacCormack, Kevin Bacon.

The actor took to Twitter to voice his approval for the film which he saw on Sunday. Bacon posted a picture of his ticket stub and wrote "F-Loose! Just saw it. Congrats to Craig, Kenny, Julianne, Dennis,Andie, Miles, and the rest of the cast. U guys roc…"

Bacon took the lead role in the 1984 version of the film which also starred Fame’s Lori Singer as his love interest, John Lithgow as the Reverend and a young Sarah Jessica Parker.

The updated version sees Kenny Wormald take over from Bacon with former Dancing with the Stars professional dancer Julianne Hough playing Singer’s Ariel Moore. Denis Quaid takes the role of the firebrand reverend.
