Music mogul Simon Cowell has denied reports suggesting Steve Jones is getting the boot from the US version of The X Factor.
Cowell said that nobody is being lined up to replace Jones as the host of the show. Speaking to the New York Post, Cowell said: "Steve Jones isn't leaving The X-Factor."
"There is a lot of speculation about Steve Jones leaving the show. To avoid any confusion, Steve will be hosting all of the live shows and he’s doing a great job."
However according to the newspaper, when sponsers Pepsi got wind of a possible shuffle in presenters they became anxious.
"Pepsi has been in negotiations to make Steve spokesperson. They’re now rethinking their position and are impatient," a source said.
"They were in the dark about Cheryl [Cole] being dumped. It’s been difficult with no communication."
Although a Pepsi rep said "We love the show, and we’re thrilled we picked up the sponsorship."
