RTÉ rugby pundit and Kiwi native, Brent Pope has joined forces with Irish rugby star Malcolm O’Kelly for a new TV show which sees them build houses for the poor in Africa.
Last summer Pope launched Brent Pope Rugby Legends Foundation, with the aim of getting former rugby players and fans to help the charity, Habitat for Humanity.
Brent Popes Habitat sees Pope and O’Kelly travel to Zambia to discover first-hand what Irish volunteers can do to help people in need in the area.
As well as donning the hard hats and building a new home for a family, they also meet with families who have benefitted from the work of Irish volunteers. Naturally, in their downtime, they teach a bit of rugby to some locals too.
Brent Pope's Habitat, airs this Saturday, October 15 at 3.50pm on RTÉ One.
