Susan Boyle will join the cast of the musical based on her life story, I Dreamed a Dream, which is coming to Ireland in April 2012.
Charting her meteoric rise from obscurity to international stardom in Britain’s Got Talent, the musical stars Calendar Girls and Rab C Nesbitt actress Elaine C Smith in the role of Boyle.
Following her unforgettable audition on the talent show where she performed I Dreamed a Dream, the Scottish singer went on to sell 14 million albums worldwide.
Speaking about the musical, Boyle Said: “I am thrilled to be a part of the musical about my life story and very much looking forward to stepping on stage and performing with the cast.
“It is an honest portrayal of my life and has been a cathartic process to be involved in.”

The show’s producer, Michael Harrison, said: “Having Susan join the cast to perform the finale of her musical is amazing for both ourselves and audiences across the UK and Ireland.
