Cillian Murphy has signed up to the adaptation of Daniel Clay's novel Broken.
It is said that the plot of the film centres on the aftermath of a violent attack witnessed by a young girl. Though she is not involved in the attack, she finds her life spins out of control afterwards, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Tim Roth has also signed up to feature in the movie. He is currently attached to the financial drama Arbitrage, and the period film The Absinthe Drinkers.
Murphy will next be seen in the bio thriller Retreat, which co-stars Thandie Newton and Jamie Bell.
