Edwina Currie has become the first celebrity to leave this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
The former MP and her dance partner, Vincent Simone, lost out after finding themselves in the bottom two with Audley Harrison and Natalie Lowe - but were knocked out by the boxer after the judges' scores from the past fortnight and the public votes were combined.
Her departure follows a fortnight in which she failed to impress the judges, scoring just 17 points for her cha cha cha in the first week and 19 for her foxtrot on Saturday night.
Asked by hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman to sum up her exit, Currie stated: "Well I feel sorry for Vincent, because he has worked very hard. He's been a terrific teacher, he really, really has. Anything that we did wrong is entirely my fault. Whoever dances with Vincent is a very, very lucky woman."

And Vincent also had nothing but praise for his student. "I just want to say I've had so much fun with you," he said. "Which I didn't expect because you were a 'politicianist'. But yes, you've taken care of me - so thank you for that."
