Sweet Dreams singer Annie Lennox is set to receive a lifetime achievement gong at the Inspiration Awards for Women today.
The pop star will be recognised for her impressive music career with Eurythmics, and as a solo artist, as well as marking her years campaigning for humanitarian causes.
Lennox was made an OBE last year for her work for Aids charities and fighting poverty in Africa. She follows in the footsteps of previous winners Barbara Windsor and Vivienne Westwood.

Meanwhile, singer Adele will scoop a next generation inspiration award at the event at Cadogan Hall in London, for the UK’s, “most inspirational, aspirational and stylish women”.
Samantha Cameron, Victoria Beckham, Tracey Emin, Jennifer Saunders, Kate Winslet and Stella McCartney, are also nominated for awards, while Lady Gaga and Alicia Keys are nominated in the international categories.
The awards will be presented by former tennis star Andrew Castle, and Sky News presenter Sarah-Jane Mee.
All money raised will be donated to the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity.
