Caroline Flack has reportedly said she laughs off claims that she and Olly Murs are dating.
The pair have been linked since they began presenting The Xtra Factor together this summer.
Flack told Digital Spy that both she and the singer ignore the press speculation about the nature of their relationship.
"It's funny," she said. "We laugh at it really. We get it on really well. He's like my step-brother."
Flack added that she was pleased that viewers had given the 2009 X Factor runner-up a warm reception on the show.
"Olly's not a presenter, he's not even saying he is a presenter now," she said. "He's taking part in the show because he's experienced, and has history with the show. He's still a popstar at the end of the day.
"He's so much fun to work with; absolutely brilliant at what he does. Every single person that comes into contact with him, likes him immediately. The crowd are behind him, the audience are behind him, the audience love him. He's perfect for the job. Such a lovely guy."
