Russell Brand: not allowed to enter Canada for show

British comedian Russell Brand was reportedly forced to cancel a show in Canada this weekend after being refused entry into the country.

The Arthur star had been scheduled to perform at the Casino Rama show in Ontario on Saturday night, but subsequently wrote on Twitter that he was unable to get through customs.

"Tonight's Casino Rama show postponed. I'm sorry," Brand tweeted. "I' can't enter Canada. We must abolish the borders between our nations AND our minds."

Brand's apology followed tweets earlier in the day confirming he was having problems getting into Canada.

"Help! I'm gonna be late for Casino Roma show unless someone can force Canadian customs officials to let us land in Orillia!" he wrote. "How do you manipulate customs officials? Wasn't Hitler's father a customs officer? I'm pretty sure he was."
