Katie Price has split with Leandro Penna.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Price and her Argentinean boyfriend were set to wed in the near future. However, the marriage rumours quickly went down the drain as the pair have have decided to go their separate ways.
It is reported that the language barrier between the pair was the cause of the break-up, as Katie does not speak Spanish, while Leandro has only a basic grasp of English.
While Leandro had taken English lessons his progress was said to be slow, and they had both admitted to relying on web translation services to decipher text messages to each other.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper a source said: “It’s over. The truth is Leandro felt isolated being in the UK without any of his friends or family."
They added: “He decided it would be a good idea to return to Argentina and see his family, and try to get work. She agreed it was probably for the best.”
Katie and Leandro met in February at Elton John’s Oscars party, shortly after she had split from her second husband, cage fighter Alex Reid.
