Scarlett Johansson has spoken out about breach of privacy for the first time since nude pictures of her were leaked on the internet earlier this month.

During an interview on CNN, the actress explained that just because she's an actress it should not prevent her from receiving the privacy she deserves.

"Just because you're an actor or make films or whatever doesn't mean you're not entitled to your own personal privacy. If that is sieged in some way, it feels unjust. It feels wrong."

Since the scandal first emerged, Johansson admitted that she took the naked photographs of herself, which were leaked online after someone hacked into her phone.

She reportedly called the FBI in to investigate how the private photographs were hacked from her mobile phone and threatened legal action to anyone who threatened to sue.

Johansson went on to speak about living in the public eye, explaining: "It's an adjustment, but I think there are certain instances where you give a lot of yourself and finally you have to kind of put your foot down and say, 'Oh wait, I'm taking it back'."
