Vanessa Williams, Brenda Strong, Marcia Cross, Eva Longoria and Felicity Huffman puckered-up to celebrate the final season of Desperate Housewives at Universal Studios.
ABC threw a good-bye party on the Wisteria Lane set at Universal Studios Hollywood this week to kick off the Desperate Housewives final season, which airs this weekend in the States. Lots of familiar faces attended including four of the five leads, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, Vanessa Williams and Eva Longoria.
The end of an era: The ladies kiss goodbye to Wisteria Lane
Teri Hatcher was noticeably absent from the festivities. According to her publicist, "Teri had a longstanding previous commitment with her daughter. She was sorry to miss the party, but her family comes first."
While Teri Hatcher was missing from the line-up, the others Vanessa Williams, Brenda Strong, Marcia Cross, Eva Longoria and Felicity Huffman seemed in high spirits
Eva Longoria told The Hollywood Reporter "I love doing parties on The Lane because nobody gets to be here where we film. And it's such a beautiful street, a beautiful set."
Eva Longoria was flying high saying - "I love doing parties on The Lane."
"I don't know what they're going to do with it when we're gone," she continued. "I can't even think of anyone else filming on it. I might cry. It means someone might be living in my house. And so I love that we had this party here tonight to kind of celebrate the beginning of the end."
A recent teaser trailer for the opening episode of the final season, Secrets That I Never Want to Know, features the four main characters - Gaby, Bree, Lynette and Susan - in a bit of a predicament in a wooded area and features the classic line: "We can't do this; we're not criminals. We drive carpool!"
