Big Brother runner-up Kerry Katona has had her upcoming reality show cancelled.

The Sun newspaper reports that an ITV spokesperson revealed talks between Katona and the broadcaster have broken down over contractual issues, which were "beyond control".

The 30-year-old mother of four and tabloid staple had been given the chance to redeem herself after a few tumultuous years. Two television series showcased her battling a drug habit, a divorce and running into money trouble.

The star impressed the public in her recent stint in the revamped Celebrity Big Brother series on Channel 5, being kept until the final but losing out on the title to Paddy Doherty.

Max Clifford, Katona's spokesperson, commented that "It is a shame as Kerry wants to be on TV, and after her success on Big Brother people obviously want to see her".

Katona's divorce with Mark Croft was finalised in court yesterday, with neither present.
