Actor Ryan Gosling has revealed he was suspended from school after throwing steak knives at his classmates.
Female First reports that the actor got a little carried away after watching Rambo as a kid and his love for Sylvester Stallone's renegade soldier landed him in big trouble.
"When I first saw First Blood it put a spell on me and I thought I was Rambo. I even thought my face felt like Sylvester Stallone's face when I touched it,” says the star of weepy chick flick The Notebook.
“I went to school the next day and bought a Fisher Price kit and I put steak knives in there and I took them and threw them at all the kids during recess.”
The move prompted Gosling's parents to ban him from watching violent movies.
“They put me on a leash and I could only watch Bible movies or National Geographic programmes, which by the way are very violent. I got suspended rightfully so and I'm sorry. I now fully understand the effect that movies can have and the kind of spell they can cast."
Gosling's new film, the crime thriller Drive, opens on Friday September 23.
