Megan Fox has revealed that she lost too much weight while sticking to a strict vegan diet.

The former Transformers star told Amica magazine that she was shocked into giving up her extreme diet when she dropped too much weight.

She said: "For a year and a half, until about four months ago, I followed a strict vegan diet based on raw fruits and vegetables, no bread, sugar and coffee. But I had lost too much weight.

"So now I eat a bit of everything. And I train three times a week doing circuit training with my trainer Harley Pasternak."

Hollywood fitness instructor Pasternak has since revealed that Fox is following his 5-Factor diet, which sees the dieter eat five small meals a day.

He told Starlounge UK: "She follows the 5-Factor diet which is to eat five small meals a day which include the five dietary factors including healthy fats, lean protein, fibre and a non-sugar drink."

Pasternak added: "Megan wants her body to reflect who she is. She looks awesome. She’s natural, softly spoken and her personality shines through her fantastic shape.

"Megan’s also lucky because her husband Brian Austin Green follows the same workout routine. They share the same enthusiasm for a healthy lifestyle which is fantastic too."
