To celebrate the launch of the new nine disc Blu-Ray Star Wars Collection, HMV will host a charity even in aid of the Marie Keating Foundation.
The event will take place in HMV, Grafton Street from 11am to 4pm on Saturday September 10.
During the day the Star Wars soundtracks will be played, the movies will be looped on three screens and customers will have the opportunity to have photos taken with characters from the Star Wars universe.
Staff at HMV will be taking pre-orders for the nine disc Star Wars release as well as collecting money for the Marie Keating Foundation.
The Marie Keating Foundation was founded in 1998 by Ronan Keating and his family in memory of their mother to help raise awareness and to educate people about cancer.
HMV Grafton Street Manager Gary Roche said: "This promises to be a fun day - we invite fans to get into the spirit of the Star Wars Blu-Ray nine disc edition release and get a photo taken with their all time favourite Star Wars characters. Families are also more than welcome as the characters will no doubt be a hit with young Star Wars fans. We hope to raise €1000 for the Marie Keating and ask that people donate whatever they can on the day."
The Star Wars box set goes on sale on Monday September 12 at €79.99.
