RTÉ Radio has launched its new 2011-2012 season, and also welcomes the launch of its new RTÉ Radio Player.
Nob Nation's Oliver Callan brings satire back to Saturdays on Radio 1 with his show Green Tea. The series debuted earlier in the year with a number of specials, and the programme now takes up a permanent slot at 1pm.
Also on Saturdays, Charlie Bird will present his new show, Saturdays with Charlie Bird, at 1.30pm, which will see him reporting on the latest stories and issues around the country.
RTÉ Radio's Drama department will debut four new plays this season in association with The Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival.
The imminent launch of the new RTÉ Radio Player has been announced. The player joins the already hugely successful RTÉ Player and promises to revolutionise the online radio experience.
The new RTÉ Radio Player will offer listeners an easy-access listen-live experience, with easy-to-follow podcast, listen-back and share functionality and is expected to launch later this year.
