The Treme family was in mourning today after the body of Michael Showers was found in the Mississippi river this morning.
45-year-old Showers had a recurring role as Capt. John Guidry on the Sky Atlantic series about New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
He was spotted by a steamboat captain in the waters near New Orleans’ French Quarter and authorities told the Times-Picayune that his body was recovered 30 minutes later.
Orleans Parish coroner’s office estimated that his body had been in the water for two days.
Showers had made appearances in Breaking Bad, The Vampire Diaries, I Love You Philip Morris and The Tree Of Life.
