Actors Andrea Parker and Miguel Ferrer have joined the cast of Desperate Housewives for its final season, with romance in store for one Wisteria Lane character.

Deadline.com reports that Parker will play Jane, the new love interest of Tom Scavo (Doug Savant).
Ferrer will play Andre Zeller, an artist who teaches Susan (Teri Hatcher) on her college course.
The final series of Desperate Housewives will premiere in the US in September and later in the new TV season on RTÉ Two.
