EastEnders' cheeky chap Darren Miller’s exit plot has reportedly been revealed, and fans have been told to expect a "terrible mistake".

Warning: Spoiler Alert!

As he and Jodie Gold, who is played by Kylie Babbington, prepare for a white wedding, their relationship is set to collapse after Darren is left wracked with guilt.

According to The Sun, Darren, who is played by Charlie G Hawkins, will call off the wedding at the eleventh hour, after he feels Jodie is too good for him.

On his stag night, a drunken Darren sleeps with Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) and feels he has no choice but to tell his beautiful fiancée.

The Sun quotes a source as saying: “Darren makes a terrible mistake and can't keep it from Jodie.

“He doesn't mean to break her heart, but he does. With no Jodie and no prospects, what has he got to hang around Walford for? He decides on a clean break.”

Hawkins joined the soap in 2004 when he was just 13.

When his imminent departure was announced, he said: “I can barely remember life before EastEnders. It will be great having no structure to my life and not having to learn lines.”

However, according to the source, the exit plotline means "the door remains open for him to return."
