Eve Myles has revealed that shooting Torchwood: Miracle Day was one of the most exhausting experiences of her life.
The Welsh actress admitted that it was difficult to stay in top shape for Torchwood's demanding production schedule.
"I'm a broken woman by the end of it, like a wimp," Myles joked to Speakeasy. "Before doing Torchwood, especially this year, I will train three hours a day, four days a week so not to lose weight or change shape or how I look. And to make sure I have the stamina to play Gwen Cooper and not to get any injuries.
"Because if I get injured, nobody cares. I'll still have to come in the next day and run for six hours with a broken leg."
Myles also teased that Torchwood: Miracle Day fans should be ready for surprises as the current season nears its conclusion.
"It just goes crazy the closer you get to finding out what's going on. You will not be able to breathe," she insisted.
"That's what [Torchwood creator] Russell [Davies] does, you see. [You think] 'I see exactly where this is going, it's so simple'. He will then drop you like a ton of bricks and start going in the other direction. This series is about expecting the unexpected!"
Myles and co-star John Barrowman both recently said that they'd love to star in a Torchwood movie.
Torchwood: Miracle Day continues on Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One.
