EastEnders actress Preeya Kalidas has given some details about her character Amira Shah's return storyline.
Warning: Spoiler alert!
Kalidas recently signed a contract to make a comeback as Amira, who left Albert Square in April 2010, after learning that her husband Syed (Marc Elliott) had been having an affair with Christian Clarke (John Partridge)
It has now been revealed that Amira had a secret of her own, as she was expecting Syed's baby when she left the Square.
Speaking about her return to the soap on BBC Asian Network today, Kalidas said: "It's actually really exciting. I'm quite excited to go back and face the wrath of Syed and Christian!"
She also confirmed that Amira will "come back with a little girl" later this year.
When asked what viewers can expect from the storyline, Kalidas said: "Drama - a lot of drama. It's going to get emotional - it's EastEnders, it's got to!
"She's having a tough time of it - she's a defiant woman who's defying her dad, and she comes back to the Square and ends up facing the man who broke her heart."
