New set shots of Al Pacino, as infamous music legend, Phil Spector, reveal a shocking likeness. The 71-year-old Oscar-winning actor, who is currently filming the biopic in New York, was sporting a tousled wig that caught Spector to a T.
The HBO drama, which is written and directed by award-winning playwright, David Mamet, recounts the incredible rise and dramatic fall of the music legend who invented the ‘Wall of Sound’ but in recent years is best known for the dramatic Hollywood murder trial of starlet, Lana Clarkson. The storyline for the as-yet-untitled HBO drama tells of Spector’s relationship with his defense attorney (played by Helen Mirren).
The drama is scheduled for a 2012 release.
