US actor Leonardo DiCaprio has made it to the top of Forbes’ highest paid actors list.
The Inception actor knocked Johnny Depp off the top spot by earning €55m last year. Adam Sandler, Will Smith and Tom Hanks rounded off the top five.
The success of his films Inception and Shutter Island raked in over €843m worldwide. According to Forbes magazine, as well as earning €11m for each film, DiCaprio picked up a slice of the profits.
Sarah Jessica Parker and Angelina Jolie tied for first place in the list of top earning female stars with €21.3m.
Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon weren’t far behind, each pulling in €19.7 million, despite critical failures with Aniston’s The Bounty Hunter and Witherspoon’s How Do You Know.
