The winner of the Anthony Ryan’s Best Dressed Lady Competition on Ladies' Day at the Galway Races was Suzanne McGarry from Sligo.

Suzanne wore a red vintage dress accessorised with a cream and black embellished hat by Lina Stein, which featured pearls and handmade silk roses.

She received a prize of a one-carat diamond solitaire pendant valued at €8,500, a shopping spree worth €1,500 in Anthony Ryan's, Galway and €1,000 cash.

Sieglinde Mullers from Galway took home the Anthony Ryan's Best Hat prize, sporting a hat by Galway milliner Edel Ramberg. She was awarded a prize of a shopping spree worth €1,500 in Anthony Ryan’s, Galway.

Three of the best known names in the Irish fashion industry were on the judging panel for this year's competition - Brendan Courtney, broadcaster and Off the Rails presenter, Bairbre Power, Fashion Editor of the Irish Independent and Executive Editor of the Irish Independent Weekend magazine and PJ Gibbons, Editor, Social and Personal Magazine.
