It is reported that executive producer Glen Mazzara is to replace series creator Frank Darabont as the showrunner of horror-drama The Walking Dead.
Deadline.com, which broke the story, says that production on series two has not been interrupted by the change in personnel, with the season premiere due to air on American television on October 16.
Mazzara had joined the show for the new season as Darabont's second in command.
It is unclear if Darabont will remain with the show in some capacity.
