After two movie extensions of the hit TV show it looks like the next twist in the Sex and the City saga is a story following the plotlines of Candace Bushnell's prequel novels, The Carrie Diaries, and Summer in the City.
The movie would follow Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte through their teens into their twenties.
Lots of names are being suggested for the four lead roles with Blake Lively tipped to play a younger Samantha; Selena Gomez as Charlotte; Miranda would be played by Emma Roberts and the much coveted role of Carrie could go to Elizabeth Olsen, the younger sibling of Mary-Kate and Ashley.
However despite all the chatter a rep for Lively does say that despite the rumors, she will not be doing the film.
