A number of the acts who will perform as part of this year’s Arthur’s Day celebrations on Thursday, 22nd September have been announced.

Details of the annual celebration of all things Guinness were confirmed yesterday in Dublin at an event which featured live performances from Ryan Sheridan, Aloe Blacc, Paloma Faith, Cashier No. 9 and Bressie.

Some of the other acts playing in September include the Scissor Sisters, the Stereophonics, Calvin Harris, Ash, Royseven and Keywest.

It has been confirmed that Arthur’s Day will be marked at four locations across the country this September – Dublin, Cork, Belfast and Limerick. It will once again feature some of the best international and Irish acts performing in small venues across the country.

Speaking about Arthur’s Day, Paloma Faith said “Arthur’s Day just looks like the best fun. A fantastic city, great bands and amazing music. I’m especially looking forward to a completely stripped back set in a local pub – a great intimate setting that should make for a fantastic atmosphere. See you on 22nd September Ireland!”

This is the third year of the event which has proved a massive hit with people throughout Ireland. All proceeds from the day go to the Arthur Guinness Fund which aims to have a transformational impact on local communities in Ireland.

Tickets for the event go on sale from Ticketmaster on 4th August.
