EastEnders - New whodunit
EastEnders - New whodunit

EastEnders fans are set for a new whodunit in the soap, when one of the characters becomes the victim of an arson attack next week.

Warning: spoiler alert!

The Sun reports that Eddie Moon (David Essex) will see his antique business torched, leading to the destruction of all of his stock.

He is convinced that the arsonist is son Michael (Steve John Shepherd).

A source told the paper: "This is a really dramatic plot for David. He can really get his teeth into it. Despite being an Albert Square regular for only a few weeks, he has already started to establish himself as one of the most popular characters in the show."

The source added: "He [Eddie] is determined he knows who is to blame - but is he right?"

The episode will be screened on BBC One and RTÉ One on Monday July 25.
