Rebecca Black, a You Tube sensation with her single, It’s Friday, releases a follow-up this Monday. The new single will be called My Moment and Black (14) is obviously hoping for a repeat of the phenomenon that saw It’s Friday getting more than 167 million viewings on You Tube and Lady Gaga trumpeting the young singer-songwriter “a genius”.
But Black’s single, which 'celebrated the coming of the weekend and good times’, attracted as many detractors as admirers, with critics lambasting the vacuous lyrics and interminable refrain of Friday. Last month a dispute with Black’s record label resulted in the viral hit being removed from the international video network.

My Moment is reported to be more biographical with the accompanying video featuring footage form Black’s life before she became one of the most notorious performers on You Tube.
