Claire Richards has argued that a potential Steps reunion would be a "silly" idea.
The Popstar to Operastar contestant claimed that she was happy to leave the Tragedy group in her past, but admitted that she would "never say never" to a proposed comeback.
She told the Daily Mail: "We do get offers all the time, which we consider, although up until now it's never really been right for everybody.
"Maybe it's just my age, but I can't really see myself up on stage in one of those bright costumes doing what we did. But never say never. "
She added: "To be honest, though, it's taken me this long to get to a place where I'm happy with what I'm doing and trying to build a career of my own. To drop all that to go back seems a bit silly."
There were rumours in February that Steps were to feature in a Sky Living documentary leading to a one-off charity show.
Speaking to Digital Spy Richards revealed that appearing on Popstar to Operastar gave her a "purpose" in life once again.
